Calm Spaces for a Calm Mind – Tips for Cord Management

I want to be very clear that I’m no minimalist, but I’ve definitely been working hard on taming the clutter in our house. In the process, I’ve really noticed how calming it is to see a formerly-cluttered space all cleared out and curated.

The landing at the top of our stairs was a natural place to drop stuff, but I finally tacked it, and it makes me so happy every time I walk by.

Another area I tackled was our nightstands, also magnets for lots of odds and ends. The before pictures are not staged – there were cords and stuff everywhere. It’s a bit hard to tell in this picture, but there’s a light saber on Steve’s nightstand in the “before” picture. May the force be with you.

I received these cable clips from Blue Key World to try out. They sent me the product for free to try, but I was not otherwise compensated, and the opinions are all my own.

I placed the cords down the back of our nightstands. A single clip was able to hold both my thin iPhone charging cable as well as the electrical cord from my lamp. I put a second one further down, to keep the cables in place. Steve has an extra charger, so I needed more clips on his side.

Once you put the nightstands back in place, you can’t see the clips, and more importantly, you can’t see the cables!!

I definitely waited way too long to work on cleaning up my bedroom, but I am finally getting to it, and it feels so relaxing to look at this space without all the clutter of wires!

Hope you are all having a great weekend and find a little time to clear out a space that makes you happy!
