Welcome to the Fall 2023 One Room Challenge! This is such a hectic time but also such a fun one, with lots of projects to do and explore and a great supportive community! In the spring, I decorated our entryway, including turning our closet into a mini-mudroom. This fall, I am working on our dining room! It’s one of my favorite spaces in the house, because it has great natural light and views – it feels like the “heart of the home.” For the One Room Challenge, I’m aiming to turn this basic space into something more elegant and luxurious! Since SF weather is often a bit chilly for outdoor dining, I wanted to create an airy feel, so we can get the outdoor vibes while staying snug indoors!

Pictured above are some things I have already brought into the space, as well as some of the new projects I have in mind:

• Thomasville Bar Cabinet Makeover
• Faux bamboo Armchair
• New chandelier
• New Roman shades with custom trim
• New dining bench and dining cushions
• Add a cabinet to create separation between dining room and kitchen

Here’s an inspiration picture of how I’d like to create some separation between our kitchen and dining room, while also keeping the open feeling.
